Lori Leibovich is the new editor-in-chief of Time Inc.'s Health magazine, across various platforms. She will also lead Time Inc.’s new multimedia hub for its health category, Time Health, which draws content from the publisher’s portfolio of titles, including Time, Fortune, Cooking Light, Real Simple, My Recipes, Southern Living and People.

“By putting a seasoned digital leader at the helm of the Health brand, we are moving to better serve our growing audience on the media platforms they prefer,” stated Time Inc. chief content officer Alan Murray.

Most recently, Leibovich was Time Inc.’s digital director of women's content; she led the company's focus on millennial women across all brands and social platforms.

“Time Inc.’s audience is hungry for reliable, actionable information that can help them live longer, healthful, more meaningful lives,” Leibovich stated. Nearly 100 million of Time Inc.’s unique visitors are looking for ways to live healthier, according to the publisher, citing comScore data.

Health.com averages nearly 8 million unique visitors every month.

Leibovich succeeds Clare McHugh, who is now senior director for edit operations. She will work with Murray on transforming the company’s editorial operations and lead special projects.

McHugh will also remain a contributing editor at Health. She previously served as executive lifestyle editor of The Huffington Post, as well as digital editor of Real Simple.
