Didit Makes Eleventh Acquisition -- Is Twelve Close Behind?

When I met Kevin Lee nearly a dozen years ago, the company he founded in 1996, Didit, focused mainly on search engine marketing and advertising. He was a search industry thought leader and SEMPO founding board member.

On Thursday his company made its eleventh acquisition in six years. When asked whether we can expect another acquisition soon, he wrote that there would be “nothing imminent, but after 11 acquisitions we are getting good at it. Shame to waste that experience.”

That expertise is not limited to making good deals. It extends into making good deals work. The purchase, Print Digital Plus (PDP) that he disclosed Thursday focused on personalized digital printing, personalized print marketing, creative services, cross-media marketing, web and mobile services. It also offers offset printing and mailing.

The acquisition is part of Lee’s plan to build out Didit to become a full-service agency.

Print Digital Plus will maintain its brand under DiditDM, but will move its office location and personnel to DiditDM’s direct mail facility in Plainview, New York. The date of the move has not been decided upon yet.

Rob Wilner, former owner of Print Digital Plus, becomes vice president of the business under DiditDM. He will continue to lead the team of client service managers, creative talent, graphic artists and digital production staff.

In May 2017, Didit acquired the Halo Group, a branding and marketing communications agency.

The ninth acquisition was Freshbrick, which also focuses on branding print, web and direct mail, along with broadcast and social media.

With all the acquisition, its footprint continues to grow, with offices in Manhattan, Long Island, and Waltham, Massachusetts.
