National CineMedia Expands Ad Network, Adds 533 Screens

Cinema advertising network National CineMedia this week announced five new theater chain affiliates, expanding its coverage by 71 new theaters and 533 screens reaching approximately 20 million attendees.

The chains include New York-based Bow Tie Cinemas’ 43 theaters (271 screens, reaching 7 million attendees), Dallas-based Cinergy Entertainment Group’s three theaters (29 screens, reaching 2 million attendees), Omaha-based Main Street Theatres’ eight theaters (48 screens, reaching 1 million attendees), Salt Lake City’s Megaplex Theatres’ 17 theaters (185 screens, reaching 10 million attendees) and Bloomfield HIlls, MI-based MJR Digital Cinemas’s 11 theaters (164 screens, reaching 6 million attendees).

The additions follow last week’s announcement that NCM and cinema ad network rival American Multi-Cinema (AMC) reached an agreement to comply with a Department of Justice order stemming from its acquisition of Carmike Cinemas.
