'Robb Report' Revamps Print, Digital And Expands Coverage

Robb Report, a magazine which curates luxury products and services, has unveiled a “refresh” of the brand, redesigning its print magazine and digital outlets.

The magazine's new look debuted in Robb Report’s 29th annual June "Best of the Best" issue, which hit newsstands this week.

The redesign comes in the wake of PMC partnering with Robb Report's owner Rockbridge Growth Equity last winter, part of a joint venture to expand the 40-year-old title. Jay Penske, CEO and chairman of Penske Media Corp. (PMC), stated this is a “new era” for Robb Report. (PMC has a stable of media titles, including Variety, WWD, TV Line and IndieWire.)

The joint venture with PMC expands Robb Report’s digital reach, print subscription and event business, while improving its print distribution and product suite across its channels. PMC said at the time it hopes to attract a broader global audience to Robb Report by building up its technology, analytics and digital platforms.

The new redesign will feature more original photography and expanded coverage in both the print and digital platforms, including “happenings at auction and secondary markets, as well as a look at historical pieces and collectibles," according to a statement.

Robb Report covers topics such as private aircraft, boating, automobiles, wine and watches. The publication publishes 17 international editions in nine languages. A new editorial section will spotlight the taste makers, artisans and collectors behind the products featured.

The print magazine will also have an expanded trim size and illustrated covers.

RobbReport.com's new homepage design is now optimized for phone, tablet and desktop. It features online photo gallery templates as well. It's also launching a “microsite” devoted to its events, such as the Car of the Year franchise and Health & Wellness Summit.

Separately, this week AOL’s automotive news and car shopping Web site, Autoblog, announced Greg Migliore has been promoted to editor-in-chief.

Migliore has been with Autoblog since 2014 as senior editor. He replaces Michael Austin, who "departs straight into a new adventure," according to Migliore's introductory post on the site.

Previously, Migliore worked at Automobile and Autoweek magazines.
