Dentsu has established a new corporate venture capital fund to support startups worldwide.
It’s called Dentsu Ventures Fund II and will invest in startups at various stages. It will operate for a 10-year period and has more than $90 million to disperse.
The new fund effectively extends the company’s efforts to support innovation. In 2015, it launched a similar fund, Dentsu Venture Global Fund 1, that has invested in more than 40 companies, mostly outside of Japan.
One recent investment supports Brooklyn, NY-based sports media company Overtime.
