Only sightly more than half of Americans believe it is important for their household to be equipped with the latest media technology, according to findings of a national study conducted by GroupM in December.
The findings, which were released this morning on the eve of this week's annual CES conference, indicate that males, younger people and the highest income households were most likely to "completely agree" with the statement.
Among the explicit consumer technology responses, GroupM found that personal health and fitness trackers index high among Americans, while virtual and/or augmented reality, not so much.
Slightly less
than half of respondents (48%) said they'd like "smart appliances," while slightly more than half (51.5%) said they already have a 5G device.
