Return Path Partners With Abusix On Security Services

Return Path, a specialist in email data services, has formed a partnership with Abusix, a security provider, to protect brands and network owners from cyber threats, the companies announced on Tuesday.

The partners will use data from Return Path’s ThreatWave to increase the coverage provided by Abusix Threat Data and AbuseHQ SaaS services offered by Abusix. ThreatWave will be the only provider of “parked domain data” to the Abusix Data service, the companies said.

The objective is to “accelerate the ability to quickly identify and stop email threats before causing damage,” said Matt Blumberg, Return Path’s CEO, in a statement.

Abusix Threat Data identifies spam and compromised systems — the blind spots in networks, the companies stated. Abusix alerts network abuse operators to future security threats, enhancing their brand infringement intelligence, they added.

Users can use the combined services to protect themselves from:

  • Phishing and brand infringement campaigns that violate email provider authorized use policies
  • Domains that have traits that spell fraudulent or illegal activity
  • IP addresses that are abusing their host networks.

Abusix serves brands and network providers. It processes over 400 million trap messages a day.

Return Path analyzes global data to help firms with their customer engagement and other email goals.
