In a presentation at Email Insider Summit Europe, Mary McAveney, EVP of marketing at Open Road, shared that the company decided to go after this marketplace, rather than relying on booksellers and librarians to sell their books for them when sales flattened several years back.
This program started with branded funnels and now they reach 22 million users through a handful of email programs. The company passed the 1 million mark when it comes to email subscribers.
