DLA Piper Restores Email After Malware Attack

The global law firm of DLA Piper has restored its email service following the worldwide malware attack on June 27.

In a Sunday update on its web site, the firm stated: “we have brought our email safely back online, and continue to bring other systems online in a secure manner.”

It continued: “We have seen no evidence that client data was taken or that there was a breach of confidentiality of that data. “Our investigation is ongoing and, as always, protecting client information remains our critical priority.”

The company continued: “As a result of taking down our systems, our people may not have been able to access or respond to emails from 27 June - 1 July. If you sent an email between these dates - and want to ensure it was received - please re-send the email to your contact.”
